self portrait challenge - all of me

ooooh yukky toes. Mozzy bites, torn nails, sunburnt, dirty, crusty, dead skin, hairy, flakey skin.
These summer toes are in serious need of some loving care. But this is not the end of it. These toes were born oddly shaped. My mother even tried splinting and plastering these toes into a nice straight shape when I was young. Alas my wide feet and ungainly toes would not budge from their natural born state.

I don't know, I think they're cute toes. They look like toes that know how to have fun on the beach and don't want to waste a lovely summer day getting "prettified" indoors.

Summer only lasts so long, and right now I'm in the US, wishing I could emancipate my own toes from their wooly socks and winter boots. They are soft and clean and pretty, but who wants to be a clean, pretty prisoner? :)

Just my two cents worth!

lol - well you can't speak to me of wide feet - my boyfriend actually calls mine, 'the flippers' !! Yours seem rather slim and long in comparison :)

And I agree with Jenney - at least yours would be nice and tough, outdoorsy type feet, and not sock-protected pansy feet!

These toes make me love you. HA! Not sure why. They just seem so sweet and innocent, not perfect and perfect because of all that.

I am really enjoying this month's theme. Everyone's photos are revealing in a sweet and insecure way. They are so interesting!
(And I think your toes look great! The best place for them, in my opinion, is in a pair of flippers. I love my flip flops.

It's so funny because bloglines only shows me the text of your post, not the picture--so it was great to read the description first, then click on your blog to see those toes! I think they look well-loved, tough, and broken in!! :)

Lovely summer feet---they reveal the fact that you are in contact with the earth--flip flops & barefoot, in touch with the sensory world. Also--they don't look any more ungainly than any other set of toes. Toes are funny, when looked at in isolation. I'm loving this month's theme too. Great idea!

I love that you call them "summer toes". It makes me think of long bike rides under the hot noonday sun, or romantic evening walks around the neighborhood after the sun goes down and the air begins to cool. Summer toes have a lot more fun than winter toes.

Toes are just weird, in general. I like your pictures and thoughts.
I am a daily lurker and just added you to my list of favorites. Maybe you would enjoy visiting me sometime...we like the same things.
