I realise I am a bit late on the bandwagon with the corners of home thingy but here are some of mine - and here are some other peoples.

And another one I am a bit late on - a meme:
Four Jobs I've Had
granny nanny - live in carer for the elderly - in the UK
short order cook - for greasy lunch time takeaway - burgers and deep fried everything
door to door sales - in brisbane - this one lasted 1 day - I just couldn't hack it
breakfast room service - in swanky hotel starting at 5am Four Places I've Lived
Beijing, China (1 year) :: Darwin, NT Australia (6 months) :: London, UK (on and off for 2 years) :: Port Douglas, QLD Australia (6 months)
Four Places I've Vacationed
India (back packing and doing it rough) :: Poland (back packing and doing it cheap) :: Tibet (back packing again - but with my brother this time) :: Adelaide (car camping - much better)
Four of My Favorite Dishes
filet steak - rare (I can't go past this on a restaurant menu)
risotto (no-one else is a fan so I don't make it anymore)
garlic and tomato soup with lots of olive oil (robs specialty)
spicy italian sausage pasta
Four Sites I Visit Daily
Bloglines :: treehugger :: technorati :: Whip Up
Well that is a shortened version of the meme - I couldn't think of honest answers to some of the q's.
On a different topic - sort of - Did anyone (aussies only) watch dancing with the stars last night - I hate to admit that I did watch it - somehow it is compelling - I will be watching again though - my cousin in one of the competitors this time round - can you guess who - a clue - he's not a professional dancer.

Ooooh, love the colored glass in combination with the tapestries...
lovely corner.
Is that a poisonous spider?
Kath
Love the spider photo. we take these too when we have one in the house just to scare all the overseas friends!!
Oh shame i missed Dancing with the Stars. I had watch the last series and when Marcel said it was on last night I thought "No I don't want to get addicted again"...maybe next Tues. I just might have to watch it!!
Your coloured glass is gorgeous...did you put it in?
Yeah, not only did I watch it, but my husband taped it and when he got home from a night out I was made to watch it again while sewing!
hi shelly
yes we put the glass - or at least we had it proffessionaly done. we found the frame from a second hand builders and took it to a fancy glass place and had the glass inserted and then our builder put in in the new wall
oh and those pics are paintings not tapestries - although the artist used fabrics as inspiration for her work
There's no way my hand would ever come that close to a spider that size! Definitely a chicken when it comes to creepy crawlers.
Yep ~ was popping in and out whilst it was on. Your cousin must be Luke! (didn't see him dance).
Love that corner of your house ~ the coloured glass is beaut.
Oh, I love your coloured glass window panes. I do not love yr spider! been here 5yrs now and still go weak at the knees when I see them!
Kath, what a beautiful corner! I love the colors. Oh and what kind of spider is that in the second picture?
I'm telling you, the only problem with reading Aussie Craft blogs is that we are always hours behind on the posting. And pretty much everyone already says what I'm thinking. (Sometimes, it's worth posting anyway.)
That corner is simply stunning. I am such a fan of colored glass and it just beautiful. So there. I said it. (again)
Kath...still on the glass subject. Is the wall an internal wall? In our plans for extending...i just said the other day to Marcel we could try to use the window frames I salvaged from his Grandmathers old farm house in Switzerland and schlepped over here.
love that corner - and i mean the actual corner - nice touch - what style architecture is your house? and the paintings are beautiful.
didn't watch the show so who's your cousin. i may now need to watch???
dani - kali was right about my cousin.
and the spider is a huntsman - harmless
We have the same kind of fave food! My family wasn't a huge fan of rissoto either, but I kept making it regardless and now they love it.
YIKES, the spider. I'm not phobic, but that is huge.
beautiful corner - love the colors! and the paintings do look like textiles - love them - inspiring!
about the house - there is no architecture style as such - it is an early canberra government standard house. quite small and pokey (before we tore down walls that is) the house is approx 1950's and lots of wonkey bits.
the spider - is not poisonous - in fact huntsman eat other poisonous spiders so we like to have at least one around - at the moment we have three!
Eeek! Huntsman! One fell on my friend's head at the market last week. He freaked out (at high pitch), but not quite as much as the English tourist next to him.. :)
I also love risotto, and the process of making it- but Scott doesn't like it so I don't get to make it much either:(
The corner of your house is beautiful.
